Aerial view of La Baronia, a stone manor set among the forested hills near Barcelona at golden hour

We're so glad you're here

We're getting married at La Baronia, a stone manor in the hills above Barcelona, and there is no one we'd rather have with us than you.

The weekend holds two celebrations, more details in the plan tab below.

The Weekend

Two evenings: one on the water, one in the hills.

The weekend begins on the Barcelona coast and continues the next evening at La Baronia. Here's what to wear, when to arrive, and what to expect.

Saturday on the water

Saturday, 8 August

The All-White Boat Party

The weekend begins on the water. Drinks as the sun softens, light eats as the coast slips past, and music once the lights come on over the city. We'll gather in a warm wood-panelled lounge, then drift between the party inside and the Mediterranean air on deck — the sea beside us, Barcelona glowing behind us. Come dressed head-to-toe in white, in something breathable and easy to wear into the night.

All white, boat-friendly

Please arrive in all white. Think linen shirts and trousers, summer dresses, jumpsuits, sandals or clean flats — anything you can move and dance in.

Skip stilettos and sharp heels (they don't love a boat deck), and lean into breathable fabrics. It'll be a warm, humid August evening on the water.

Sunday in the hills

Sunday, 9 August

The Wedding at La Baronia

We'll marry at six, as the heat of the day softens, then carry on with dinner and dancing in the old stone halls until late.

Here's how the evening unfolds:

  • An outdoor ceremony as the day cools
  • Cocktail hour under the arches
  • Dinner inside the old stone halls
  • Dancing until the night winds down

What to do

A few of our favourites

  • The Gothic Quarter Get lost in the medieval lanes of Barri Gòtic and El Born, then stop for vermouth. View on map →
  • Sagrada Família Gaudí's basilica. Book a timed entry in advance to skip the queue. Book tickets →
  • Park Güell Mosaics, and the best view back over the city and out to the sea. Book tickets →
  • Barceloneta & the beach A long lunch of paella and a swim, steps from the old fishermen's quarter. View on map →
  • Montjuïc at sunset Gardens, the castle, and a cable car down as the light turns gold. View on map →
  • Tapas in Gràcia Our favourite neighbourhood for slow dinners on leafy little squares. View on map →

For Sagrada Família and Park Güell, we recommend booking timed tickets in advance; they sell out weeks ahead.

Stay in touch

Once the guest list is final, we'll add everyone to an announcement-only WhatsApp group. This will be our main way of sharing important updates as the weekend gets closer.

Gifts

Your presence is present enough

Having you with us in Barcelona is the only gift we're hoping for.

Because this is a destination wedding, the logistics of shipping and carrying physical gifts are genuinely tricky, so we've decided to skip them this year.

That said, for anyone who insists, we'd be so grateful for a contribution toward our honeymoon fund.

White roses, a ribboned envelope, passports and a glass of cava on soft linen
